Hello (again) World!

It's been a long coming, but Heavy Robot finally has a proper website! Our old site was built as a stop gap solution to show clients that needed to see examples of our work what we had done, and was never intended to live on more than a month or so. This year, we finally managed to eek out some time to build a "real" website, with an About Us, Blog, Contact pages and everything!

Old Site vs New Site

It's always fun to work on an internal project where we have free reign to do what we want (occasionally clients give us a similar level of freedom). It brings it's own challenges for sure (like where to draw the line at what to include, etc.), but it's all pretty fun. For this site we chose to use our current favorite CMS platform, Drupal. Hard to imagine another CMS stealing  our attention away from Drupal at this point, but we're always open minded.

We contacted Riverbend to do the new design for the site, and really couldn't be happier with where it ended up. They were incredibly professional and thorough. They also offer development services, and if we're not the right fit for you or you need design services, by all means give them a call.

Previous Heavy Robot vs New Heavy Robot

From blog posts to work samples, we finally have conventions in place to add new content on a regular basis. We are quite looking forward to finally be able to put our voice out on the web, and hope to offer up useful development tips, as well as more in-depth insight into our company.

Well now that the obligatory "hello world" post is out of the way, keep your eyes peeled for new content in the future and enjoy the new site!

P.S. Feel free to let us know what you think of the new site in the comments below.
